I got the above caption yesterday and posted it on my Facebook page. I received hearts and likes. So, what is it about that caption that triggered this blog post?
Spirituality is acknowledging that we are living beings who are separate from the body we dwell in and use it to speak, work etc. But it is heaps more than that but that is for another post.
Tell me, what use is it when you live in a beautiful big house, you have so much money you can spend on luxurious items, you can eat fine meals and drive an expensive car. Yet, you are unhappy because you can't trust your wife. Being used to loads of cash she might desire another man who has more than you. Or you can be a woman married to a wealthy man but he treats you like a trophy and ill treats you and has mistresses. Or your children are spoilt brats and don't study, take drugs and misbehave.
You can be well educated but you work for someone or some organisation that gives you a salary of $10,000 per month but give you $20,000 of work. You work as a wage slave, you can't see your wife and family. Eventually, you work like a dog , change jobs for more money and then fall ill and die. What happens to your family and money?
They say that children are a blessing from God and there are such children who love and obey their parents. But sadly not all are. After all the effort their parents put into bringing them up they turn against their parents. Many throw their parents into cheap old folks homes or on the streets. Many misbehave and turn to booze and drugs.
They say that marriages are made in heaven but many end in hell. Many people are chasing a materialistic lifestyle fueled by the capitalist towards consumerism. These are such as lifestyle choices such clubbing, drinking, stylish clothes and paraphernalia. The sexual revolution, free and casual sex and the empowerment of women, has caused many marital breakdowns. Additionally, the pressure of work causes people to neglect their spouses and the availability of alternative partners in a promiscuous society causes marital mishaps. Don't get me wrong but both men and women are at fault
